Article in Naperville Sun

A terrific article was published on our chapter and profession in the March 28, 2006 Naperville Sun! Thanks to the newspaper staff (Larry Avila, the Business Editor in particular) for writing such a complimentary article.

Here's a link to the story (minus the pictures in the printed version):
Everyone Out of the Steno Pool

Only one spot left, then we form a waiting list!

There's only one lonely little spot left for our April 25 Administrative Professional's Week event. After that we'll have to start a waiting list. We are trying to locate an appropriate larger facility.

We'll keep you posted if we have any success.

The clock is ticking to RSVP!

There are only a half dozen slots left for our Administrative Professional's Week event. We will definitely have to have a waiting list this year. If you have signed up and can't make it, please let us know as soon as possible so someone else will be able to attend.

WE DID IT!!!

The Two Rivers Chapter Did It!!! We passed 100 members according to the February 2006 scoreboard. And we didn't just squeak in either. We landed squarely in the three digits with 102 members. We have barely begun advertising the chapter yet. Our stellar growth has been the result of the word of mouth efforts of our amazing members who are so happy to share with their colleagues and other administrative professionals the exciting things taking place within our chapter. From free computer classes to monthly educational programs to networking lunches, there is something for every administrative professional at the Two Rivers Chapter.

Are you wondering who the 100th member was (and what fabulous prize they and their sponsor received)? Sorry, you'll have to wait until we announce it at our March 13 meeting to find out. You'll be in good company though. We are expecting 80 attendees at this meeting with our extremely relevant topic of Memory Skills: How to Increase Your Memory 500%!!!

Fabulous Interchapter Chat - Great Tips!

What an awesome chat we had on March 9, 2006! We focused on Generating Positive Publicity for Your Chapter and we received an amazing turnout once again. The ideas were flying! The transcript is available. It's so wonderful watching the various IAAP chapters from across the world communicating and sharing their best practices.

April 11, 2006 - Next Members Only Networking Lunch

The Two Rivers Chapter offers periodic members-only networking lunches. This gives our members who have conflicts with our evening meetings a chance to meet and interact with their fellow members at a lunchtime session instead. We'll be holding our next lunch on April 11, 2006 at Fontano's Subs in Naperville (at Ogden and Aurora Avenues in the same strip mall that has Jewel). Fontano's has awesome food with sandwiches, pasta, and more. Many people don't realize that they also have a delicious Italian menu and offer catering. Drop in any time between 11:45 and 1:15. We hope you can join us!
